And at the same time, they must be able to anticipate web trends.\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The world changes quickly and the evolutions of the Internet are fast and already underway, even if we often do not notice them. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>In this post, we have tried to imagine what the future of the Internet will be like in the coming years.<\/strong> Here are five possible scenarios.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>1. LiFi retires wifi<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Do you know what LiFI is? It is a technology that uses LED light as a connection channel.<\/strong>\u00a0Here is a simple explanation of how it works: there is a LED lamp and a device that recognizes the light signal. The digital message is encoded and converted into light intervals.<\/p>\n<p>The advantages of technology are numerous:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Higher speed:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The light spectrum promises a speed 10,000 times faster than traditional radio waves. In a test in 2015, LiFi reached a maximum speed of 50 gigabytes per second.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Use in enclosed environments:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> LiFi could also be used in airports or hospitals, as it does not interfere with equipment like wifi radio waves do.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Greater security: <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LiFi cannot pass through room walls, so no one could steal your data and put it at risk. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\/?p=1063\">the integrity of your online data.<\/a><\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>2. Internet enhances everyone's reality<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>There is much talk about virtual and augmented reality. After the not-so-successful experiment of Google Glass, all the major tech companies are exploring new ways to bring these technologies to a mass market. Microsoft with HoloLens, Oculus Rift, the startup acquired by Facebook for 2 billion dollars, are just some of the most funded projects in recent years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If they succeed in creating user-friendly products, augmented and virtual reality will become natural in the future.<\/strong> Then users will access the Internet and, through lenses and viewers, will be able to travel to exotic places, chat with friends in virtual rooms, and shop on the Network, viewing products in 3D.<\/p>\n<h3><b>3. The Internet is in things<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, the Internet of Things is already a reality. Refrigerators, alarm clocks, watches, lighting systems, all objects can be connected to the Network, communicate with each other, and cooperate. In the next 10 years, this trend will extend to everything, wallets, medical devices, up to cars. <strong>Connected transportation will be a godsend and will make driving much safer through automation systems. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All major brands in the automotive industry are already experimenting with self-driving cars. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tesla.com\/it_IT\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tesla<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, is a cut above the rest, its connected and \"driverless\" cars have demonstrated in tests conducted so far to reduce accidents by 40%.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>4. Voice, the new UI<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>In the future of the Internet, \"voice\" and virtual assistants will dominate.<\/strong> Echo, the Amazon cylinder that you can control via voice, asking it to play a song, inform you about the weather forecast, convert units of measurement, has achieved great success... Not to mention the virtual assistants we already have on our smartphones, like Siri, which we ask to find a number in the address book and make a call. In the future of the Internet, these systems will be increasingly improved, with the elimination of all the imperfections they have today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Voice is set to replace \"touch,\" and all future software will be evaluated based on their ability to respond to voice commands. In other words, voice will be used to assess the UI, the user's \"user experience.\"<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>5. Connected even from the universe<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of all the predictions, this is the most science fiction-like, yet it has a basis in truth. Earth will no longer be the only planet connected to the Network. <strong>Future humans will be able to connect to the Internet even from Mars!<\/strong> This is the project of the visionary Elon Musk. The entrepreneur has been working for years on the colonization of the Red Planet.
