{"id":1750,"date":"2018-12-27T11:43:52","date_gmt":"2018-12-27T11:43:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/assoprovider.it\/?p=1750"},"modified":"2018-12-27T11:43:52","modified_gmt":"2018-12-27T11:43:52","slug":"assoprovider-infratel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assoprovider.it\/en\/assoprovider-infratel\/","title":{"rendered":"Assoprovider: \"Surprised by Infratel's legal action\""},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><em><b>The association responds to Infratel: \u00abThose who target us harm operators who reduce the digital divide<\/b><b>\u00bb.<\/b><\/em><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The president of Assoprovider, <strong>Dino Bortolotto<\/strong>, in relation to the<\/span><b>judicial action announced by Infratel against them <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">states \"we are surprised by the announcement, through the press, of a <\/span><b>legal action that would have been resolved by the board of directors of Infratel against Assoprovider<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and therefore against the 200 small operators committed to eliminating the digital divide, and towards its president.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the president of Assoprovider highlighted, in a note deemed harmful by infratel, nothing more and nothing less than what political figures have pointed out for several years in public statements, television broadcasts, and newspaper articles, namely that <\/span><b>delays in the telecommunications sector have favored what was until a few years ago the dominant operator<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in a de facto monopoly position.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The regulatory framework so far prepared by the policy to support the implemented public interventions has primarily allowed <\/span><b>Telecom Italia to take advantage of the status quo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and to be in fact the main beneficiary of the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Assoprovider obviously did not intend to attribute any specific fact to anyone<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, but only to highlight how public policies in the field of telecommunications have been substantially flawed in the past, and the news that in 138 municipalities there were infrastructures built with public contributions that lay unused could not help but trigger all our frustration for having been completely unheard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is regrettable to note how a public company that should operate for the benefit of the market decides to pursue the president of <\/span><b>an association that should benefit from public policies aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The association, if called to court, will defend itself, <\/span><b>thus also protecting small and medium-sized enterprises in the sector in front of the public authority<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, providing the judgment with the appropriate sources of persuasion regarding the statements made.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>L\u2019associazione risponde a Infratel: \u00abChi ci colpisce fa male a operatori che riducono il digital divide\u00bb.
