The new Assoprovider headquarters has been inaugurated in Termini Imerese, at the former Fiat plant, within the Meccatronica Valley Hub. Training events for proximity operators are planned, along with the possibility of financing new ideas with Invitalia's tools.
Assoprovider speaks Sicilian with a new office that has been inaugurated in Termini Imerese, in the province of Palermo, within the Polo Meccatronica Valley.
There will be 380 square meters, with a laboratory, offices, and a meeting room that will host T-Global, already participated by Assoprovider, and the Sicilian branch of the association:
"We thought it was a great opportunity for the association to register our subsidiary, T-Global, with the business network of Polo Meccatronica Valley. There will be the possibility for our members to connect with other valuable companies and, above all, to launch new businesses," explain Giusi Carioto and Matteo Fici, the heads of the Assoprovider hub in Sicily.
An incubator to write the future
Assoprovider in Sicily replicates the Campania model, where the association is hosted within an incubator, with an added value: the presence of Invitalia within the Hub:
"Those with innovative ideas will have the opportunity to meet Invitalia officials who can present all the financing tools that the National Agency for Business Development offers to companies and startups," say Carioto and Fici.
The Assoprovider headquarters in Sicily will also host conferences and training events aimed at proximity operators.
An Innovation Hub in the former FIAT plant
The Polo Meccatronica Valley was initially founded by 31 companies, including 12 startups. Today, it can count on 50 companies that have signed up, including businesses from various parts of Italy, such as Lombardy, Piedmont, Tuscany, and Lazio.
"Since the FIAT plant was closed about 10 years ago, there have been many initiatives to give new life to the space, but unfortunately, they have all failed. The Polo Meccatronica Valley, on the other hand, arises from established realities, companies like Tglobal and the approximately 250 companies that are part of Assoprovider, which are eager to share experiences and write the future of innovation in the South," conclude Carioto and Fici.
