The startup that innovates providers: here is evoseed

At 11 years old, he soldered electronic boards. His passion for IT led him to become interested in the world of BBS, the gateway to the first amateur telematic communications, and then to enter the Fidonet network.

Paolo Visintin, partner of Assoprovider with its evoseed, has an extraordinary wealth of experience in the IT world, both as an entrepreneur and as a manager. The first company he founded deals with system integration and specializes in applications for the VoIP world. During this initial entrepreneurial phase, he meets a client, Timenet, of which he will later become a board member and technical director:

"We had the idea of creating a virtual fax service with them that also included number portability. They would provide the infrastructure and we the technology. Things went so well that I then decided to join the company's board. In ten years, we took Timenet from 2 to 10 million in revenue and from 12 to 50 employees, transforming it from a resale company into a production company," says Paolo.

The problem of problems

The experience with Timenet allows him to observe more closely the world of telecommunications and its evolutions. A market in which the offer of selling connectivity services alone was starting to become unsustainable for operators:

"To achieve margins with connectivity services, companies should enter into contracts indefinitely. Instead, the path to take is to build value-added services to increase customer retention," emphasizes Paolo.

However, proximity operators often do not have the time to sit down and design new services, as they are too busy consolidating relationships with their customers. And it is precisely with the aim of addressing this issue that Paolo brings his evoseed to life:

"We were founded with the idea of becoming a partner in research with companies. We do this both by collaborating with the company to develop innovative services and by offering them solutions that arise from market analysis and tests conducted by our team," emphasizes Paolo.

Among the projects born in Evoseed, Intoona and CloudTik

Paolo tells us about the genesis and functionality of two projects born at evoseed. The first is Intoona an artificial intelligence system that answers the phone and makes calls, interacts in natural language with customers, transcribing conversations:

"Intoona was born from the need of a startup that had developed its own artificial intelligence engine and wanted to integrate the Voice AI component. We then created a prototype together, integrating, among other things, CRM with AI, for a solution that becomes effective even for those offering virtual switchboards," Paolo specifies.

The second project is CloudTik, centralized web interface for managing MikroTik routers in a simple and direct way from a single panel:

"We started with paid campaigns, where we asked if the idea could be interesting. Interested people could then sign up on a platform to discuss the necessary features with our development team. We saw that there was interest from about a hundred targeted contacts. Only then did we proceed with development," explains Paolo.

"This is a project I describe to illustrate the lean method we follow. We start with a streamlined analysis of the client's expressed need, define a solution hypothesis, and validate it in the field before even developing it. This way, we can develop only what is truly needed, saving time and money. We can say that instead of acting as a simple supplier, we operate as an interim internal Research and Development team, helping the client make the right choices each time," concludes Paolo.

The long-standing friendship with Assoprovider

The collaboration with Assoprovider dates back to the times of Timenet. With evoseed, Paolo once again placed his trust in our association:

"I am very satisfied with the path the association has taken with live events and the desire to disseminate and communicate the innovations that Assoprovider has been demonstrating over time," concludes Paolo.
