Netlab launches Mail2Wa, the tech solution that integrates email with the world's most used messaging system. Another innovation from Assoprovider
Assoprovider not only preserves the stories of the pioneers of the Internet, but also of the innovators who are building the future of the Internet and digital tools today.
The many stories of our members testify to this, such as that of Marcello Cama, CIO of Netlab Srl, and among the historical members of our association.
Cama is the creator of Mail2Wa which aims to revolutionize messaging systems.
How did your idea come about?
"We wanted something that would make it extremely simple for anyone to integrate applications with the world's most used messaging system, as simple as sending an email: we combined twenty years of experience in email services with a lot of code and creativity. This is how Mail2wa was born, as an evolution, or rather as a natural consequence of our 'gateway to chat', which we have long used to manage support tickets for our CRM solution via instant messaging, or as an integration in our clients' e-commerce sites."
What is Mail2Wa?
"For a few days now, we have launched the first version in a very advanced beta test. Mail2Wa, which has no equal on the market today, stems from the customization of our gateway, which connects all applications to the world's most widespread messaging system, to be used from an email client."
How is it used?
"The use is simple and immediate. You need to send an email attaching images and PDFs and indicating as the recipient [nrtelefonodestinariochat]@mail2wa.it."
What are the possible uses of the system?
"We are proposing it as an integration of management processes, in the case of orders, sending proforma invoices, payment reminders, appointment reminders, taxi confirmations... In short, for all those mechanisms where email is used to communicate with clients and suppliers."
Can the system also adapt to ecommerce and marketing, can you explain how?
"The webmaster of an ecommerce site can send order confirmations and update the customer on shipment tracking. The marketing world can also derive value from the system: imagine wanting to send a newsletter, with the possibility of attaching images and/or PDFs, directly to the customers' mobile numbers."
Can Mail2Wa become an alternative to SMS?
"In reality, Mail2Wa is an advanced SMS that has no character limits and allows the sending of images. The limitation is that not everyone has a messaging application installed, and therefore quality SMS are still a tool that companies can leverage."
What's cooking? Metaverse and Artificial Intelligence
"M2W, or rather the 'gateway to chat' from which it derives, is being tested for integration into the Metaverse. We will use it to create a digital twin: each real person will have a dedicated number and, on that, will receive questions and responses. Artificial intelligence will also be used for free-form voice searches, and thus not pre-set, in e-commerce. From the chat, it will be possible to conduct searches using natural language."
Mail2Wa is just one of the many innovations that emerge from the idea workshop of Assoprovider. Follow us to discover more news from our association.
