Over two hundred companies have decided to join Assoprovider, the association that since 1996 has been protecting the rights of small and medium-sized enterprises in the telecommunications sector.
What are the benefits of being part of the association? We have recounted them in these months on the blog pages, as we have illustrated some tools for the benefit of members only, such as the Green Card.
Today we want to give voice to the protagonists: it is the association's own members, some historical, some newcomers, who explain why they joined Assoprovider and what benefits they have received.

Antonella Oliviero, founder of Consulsat
Antonella Oliviero founder of Consulsat, is one of the great women of Assoprovider.
12 years in the Association and for seven months among the members of the Board of Directors, Antonella tells us why she chose to join Assoprovider:
"I am part of those small and tireless operators who have projects, ideas, but also many obstacles. Assoprovider has allowed me to engage with people who share my principles and problems and want to create a Network. Over the years, the association has demonstrated its ability to resolve, with authority and determination, many issues for small telecom operators."
From the very first moment Antonella supported Assoprovider's battle to achieve "a freer Internet":
"Unity is strength. Today more than ever, we need to make our voices heard by the institutions, which often forget the work we do as small operators and exclude us from the tables where the future of the sector is decided. I invite my colleagues who are not yet part of Assoprovider to join. We still have much to do, and Assoprovider is the ideal partner for our development."
Marcello Cama, founder of Netlab
Marcello Cama is one of the historical pillars of Assoprovider. For six years a member of the board of directors and head of communication for the association, Marcello tells us how his journey began:
"I joined the association about 20 years ago. I did it to share my needs as a 'pioneer' with other 'pioneers' and find solutions to market problems through 'sharing.' I immediately 'capitalized' on the membership.
With the first battle won, the “provider-saving decree", I received a refund from Telecom of several million lire. Then, over time, I formed friendships and partnerships with other members, carving out the role of communications manager. Together with the partners, we developed many projects, growing, step by step, exponentially, and it's wonderful to be one of the protagonists."
Matteo Fici, consultant and teacher
Matteo Fici is one of the founders of Assoprovider. Could you share some anecdotes about the founding of the association in the late Nineties:
"After the liberalization of telecommunications, there was a need to protect all the companies that would be established to combat the monopoly of the then SIP (which later became Telecom Italia). At that time, we were few, but we grew thanks to the concreteness of our work.
Over the years, the association has won many battles, demonstrating the validity of our idea: together we could succeed in serving everyone's interests, overturning the old logics where the same ones always won."
Davide Gelardi, 33-year-old entrepreneur
Davide Gelardi, a 33-year-old entrepreneur, is one of the youngest members of the board of directors. by Assoprovider::
"I joined Assoprovider because, as an ISP, we needed to collaborate and team up with other companies like ours. The advantages? Legal and financial consulting, the many valuable services the association offers its members, and the opportunity to make our voice heard in institutional settings.
But the greatest benefit is feeling part of a big family, that encompasses companies from Valle D'Aosta to Sicily."
Antonio Aprea, founder of Nowtech
Antonio Aprea knew little about Assoprovider. At the invitation of a friend, he decides to attend one of our events. From there, he becomes a permanent member of our family. Today, he is one of the members of the board of directors.
