5 JULY 2021 – In the first episode of Pionieri della Rete – the podcast by Assoprovider made possible with the contribution of Sicetelecom, TPlink, and AVM and the editorial support of Radio IT – we tell the story of those who first explored the realms of connectivity.
The pioneers of Wi-Fi in Italy
When you turn on a tap, water flows. When you light a stove, gas comes out. When you flip a switch, the light turns on. To these seemingly simple actions, which we perceive as trivial yet are the culmination of an extremely complex process, we must add another: browsing the internet. In this first episode of Pionieri della Rete, we tell the story of those who made that action so commonplace. These are proximity operators, members of Assoprovider (which produces the podcast with the support of Radio IT) with an innovative vision that, over 20 years ago, drove them to explore new territories. From the first connections, they moved on to Wi-Fi, and from there, they brought the network everywhere (even in the paddock of a MotoGP). Here is their story. Enjoy listening!
