At Assoprovider, we were the first, in January 2020, to coin the headline "Operatori di Prossimità" to better highlight the role that our colleagues and members, ISPs and WISPs, have played in their respective territories over the past 20 years.
Some of these stories from “#PioneersoftheNet” have been shared in our podcasts, in our newspaper OpenTLC (www.opentlc.it) and on social media channels, and we will continue to share them with pleasure. We remind you that at #APRO21 the second issue of will be distributed #OpenTLC.
Why proximity? The "deliberate contrast" with national operators is evident, where commercial offices, technical support, and customer care are often far from the "place" where digital technologies are used.
Jokingly, we say that our "customer care" sometimes responds in dialect! and even here the "intentional contrast" with customer care that responds from distant nations is evident.
In short, the members #Assoprovider, which now cover 90% of the population, oversee and know the territory like no one else can, and never, as during the "lockdown," has this presence become so essential.
The new code "certifies" the importance of #OP as for the first time, in fact art. 16 in recitals 53 and 54
it is necessary to impose administrative contributions according to specific criteria identified by the Directive in order to ensure
the proportionality of the same and thus ensure effective action
of the national regulatory authority and other competent authorities. Including the option not to apply administrative fees to companies whose turnover is below a certain threshold or whose activities do not reach a minimum market share or have a VERY LIMITED TERRITORIAL SCOPE.
The "Operatori di Prossimità" brand is available for free use by all Assoprovider members, who can now publish it in their communications and websites.
