Free Network, Free Devices

The freedom of the network faces new and largely invisible threats as ultra-broadband spreads,
with fiber optics and, in perspective, 5G, enablers of increasingly important services for society and the economy
(from healthcare, to smart city, to smart grid). One of the fundamental topics of debate is device freedom, which with
the introduction of new network technologies risks being put to the test even further.
At the institutional-level event organized by the Free Modem Alliance at the Chamber, the main representatives of the
sector are facing for the first time an issue on which crucial user rights depend, the balance of the
market and, ultimately, the very freedom of the network.

It is mandatory to present an identity document for entry and, only for men, to wear the
business casual jacket.
