APMAT26 will host the speech by Pere Antentas Costa, CEO of Open Network, one of the most interesting entities in the Spanish territorial telecommunications landscape.
His presence will enrich the international discussion of the event, offering attendees Proximity Operators Italians the opportunity to closely understand a development model based on fiber optics, open access, rural area coverage, and high-capacity digital services.
Rede Aberta is a Galician operator committed to the development of fiber optic infrastructure in rural areas, with an approach focused on reducing the digital divide and enhancing underserved territories.
The project has been identified by the European Commission as the first Spanish broadband project funded by the Connecting Europe Broadband Fund, with the aim of bringing symmetrical fiber optic connectivity up to 10 Gbps to 400,000 homes in rural Galicia.
The intervention of Pere Antentas Costa will thus be a concrete opportunity to engage in dialogue between the Italian experience of independent operators and a European case focused on neutral networks, local infrastructures, investment sustainability, and digital development of low-density areas.
For Assoprovider, this dialogue holds strategic value: strengthening the dialogue among European independent operators, sharing industrial models, and identifying new forms of collaboration to bring connectivity, services, and innovation to areas where the traditional market encounters greater difficulty.
With this contribution, APMAT26 confirms its European vocation: a meeting space for operators, technology companies, institutions, and international stakeholders committed to the development of proximity networks.
