A suite of solutions that accelerate operators: Vayu

Mario Forgione describes how his company was founded and how it operates to simplify the lives of Proximity Operators.®

In a rapidly evolving market, proximity operators need innovative tools to enhance the effectiveness of their businesses. Supporting the activities of ISPs and WISPs is the mission of the company led by Mario Forgione, it's called Vayu and is based in Rome:

"We were founded in 2013 with the idea of bringing together all the ideas that the founding members had developed while working with proximity operators. From the inside, we had all had the opportunity to focus on their weaknesses, and from there we started to create solutions. Our mission has always been to transfer know-how to our clients, whom we see more as strategic partners," explains Mario Forgione to Assoprovider.

Mario and his team identify the needs of operators in various fields of business management: from billing system that was often disconnected from other platforms, to the automation of ticket management, which often occurred manually, until the need for a dialogue between the software to avoid data dispersion and loss of time and money.

The solution: a dashboard for centralized control

From the analysis of the needs of proximity operators and from the experiences they had already gained within ISP and WISP, their solutions originate. Among these Odoo4Wisp, a platform that supports operators in managing administrative, accounting, and technical aspects:

"The software provides an accurate snapshot of what is happening in the company across various aspects, such as the status of customer payments. Performing these operations manually is risky; it may happen that a missed payment of an invoice is noticed even after 60 days, causing harm to the company's health," says Mario. Today, more than 60 operators use the solutions developed by the Vayu team.

The meeting with Assoprovider

The fate of Vayu and its team accelerates thanks to Assoprovider. In a meeting in Caserta, I meet the vice president and head of communications of Assoprovider, Marcello Cama. There, the spark ignites a collaboration that continues to this day:

"Speaking with local operators, we realize how often they feel isolated from the Halls of Power where the lines that regulate the market they operate in are decided. Assoprovider pools everyone's efforts and amplifies each voice. The support that the association provides in offering tools and content to better understand the market and its evolutions mirrors our own, as we aim to accompany the operator on a journey of awareness of their business, strengths, and weaknesses," concludes Forgione
