LabTV is a network operating in the field of communication 1.0 and 2.0, comprising three different platforms: a generalist television channel broadcast on digital terrestrial frequencies, a web TV, and an online information portal called www.labtv.net.
The network was designed to ensure constantly updated information with the possibility of immediate dissemination on social media. It relies on the collaboration of professional journalists, publicists, and specialized technicians working within the company.
It also has a team of journalists, correspondents, and reporters spread across the territory. LabTv presents itself as a true "LABoratory of ideas" with a mission to expand throughout the entire central-southern Italy.
Currently present in Campania (Channel 625), it also has two LCN assignments (Lazio and Puglia channel 873 Dt) and a development plan based on authorizations in all southern regions. LabTv operates both for the distribution of formats and for the production of content that targets the diverse demands of an increasingly discerning audience. The only recurring watchword is quality! Quality of the proposal, quality of reception, quality of listening, and engagement. The editorial project was born within the company Consulservice s.r.l., already a WISP since 2005 with the product CONSULSAT related to the provision of "Wireless Internet Services."
The group is led by Dr. Antonella Oliviero, who has also been the Publisher and Director since 2013. To date, the TV has a complete schedule that allows coverage of all time slots 24 hours a day. The schedule (constantly updated and implemented) ranges from information to entertainment with initiatives regularly broadcast on the web through streaming transmission.
The overall project aims to become a hub of balance between local needs and global visions. The territory remains, however, the focal point of all activities. It is also worth noting that the network is operationally connected with the editorial team of PIU’ECONOMIA, which has been primarily focused on development and entrepreneurship since 2012.
The portal has national reach and receives about 20,000 daily visits with over 15,000 fans on Facebook and Twitter. The editorial team is located in the city of Avellino and consists of 4 professional journalists who daily present a "TG Lavoro" based on the concrete possibility of matching supply and demand, and a program called "Missione Impresa" aimed at giving visibility to healthy entrepreneurship through interviews and reports conducted in individual companies.
PiùEconomia is in turn a partner of www.affaritaliani.it, ranked as the third online newspaper for the number of contacts.
It is also appropriate to mention the latest major challenge undertaken by the entire network. Efforts are underway to enter the training sector with competence and seriousness through the activation of courses related to television and web information professions.
Communication today requires knowledge of languages and technologies. Access to the web is increasingly mobile, and it is possible that in the not-too-distant future, the development of 4G and the increase in smartphone screen sizes will incentivize video consumption, effectively changing usage habits. On this true start-up, a path is being built that can be useful in training a new generation of journalists and qualified technicians ready to operate to reach, conquer, and surpass new frontiers.
