“This is how we overcome the price gap”, advice from Giuseppe Perito (First Point)

From an initial IT support workshop in Fidenza, they have managed to create a company capable of attracting clients across the entire national territory. Primo Punto was founded in 1999 from the idea of two young men, who had just graduated at the time, Andrea Scarabelli and Daniele Montorsi. In an initial phase, the company focuses on IT support for businesses, and then also offers telecom services. In recent years, First Point has become a provider and service supplier of the 3CX platform.

Contributing to the company's growth, Giuseppe Perito, national sales and marketing director, who has been with the company for two years: “In 2022, we closed with a revenue exceeding 4 million, with a 23% increase compared to 2021,” reveals Giuseppe, who leads the company's commercial strategies, which today can count approximately 2,500 active clients and 15,000 installed units.

Telecommunications, challenges and opportunities of First Point

In the last 5 years, First Point has focused on the sale of telecom services (voip, connectivity, and cvt) and cloud (cloud services and online backup): "The biggest challenge in this market is making the companies we target understand that there is a gap between price and quality: the lower price of the major operators does not correspond to quality in the offering. This quality is measured in terms of support, dialogue, and clear communication with clients. Once this gap is overcome, however, companies appreciate it, and the price gap is bridged," continues Giuseppe.

Giuseppe has extensive experience in the telecommunications sector. For 20 years, he worked for a large internet service provider, then decided to leave to pursue new adventures: "I felt trapped in dynamics and activities where I couldn't have a real impact. I had lost my passion. So I thought about giving up everything and starting over."

Expectations in Assoprovider

The manager was already familiar with Assoprovider and suggested to the administrators to let join First Point in the network of proximity operators association, asking the founders to participate in an event, in order to evaluate the benefits of joining the association. This meeting was then followed by the registration:

"I have always directly or indirectly experienced Assoprovider as an association capable of having technical expertise and committing to solving industry problems. Also due to this prior knowledge, our expectations are high. We want a partner that keeps us updated on regulatory and technological developments and knows how to operate with a team spirit, creating collaborations and opportunities among its members," concludes Giuseppe.
