We publish the letter that the association sent to the President of the Council of Ministers, Giuseppe Conte, to request measures to support the SMEs in the telecommunications sector, which are essential to ensure access to Internet services for the entire country, especially in such a delicate phase.
Open Letter to the President of the Council of Ministers
"Dear President Conte,
Assoprovider is l’Associazione di categoria che rappresenta il maggior numero di PMI del settore delle TLC, which are currently at the forefront for ensure essential digital services to citizens and institutions, particularly in Digital Divide areas.
Siamo fortemente preoccupati, non solo delle conseguenze dirette di questa crisi, ma anche delle conseguenze a lungo termine che le scelte dettate dall’urgenza, potrebbero determinare in futuro rreductions in competitive dynamics, with irreversible preemption/predation situations.
Chiediamo pertanto che l’approvvigionamento di prodotti e servizi, digitali da parte di cittadini ed istituzioni, tenga in debito conto le dinamiche dimensionali delle aziende del settore affinché non si aggiungano a questa crisi ulteriori futuri danni e are not harmed, especially the most efficient and responsive entities, such as the SMEs we represent.
We expect the competent authorities to carefully examine, and possibly consult with trade associations in a timely manner, all those initiatives that could lead to irreversible choices that favor entities which, moreover, do not comply with Italian or EU fiscal dynamics.
Suggeriamo di strutturare le agevolazioni economiche che verranno stabilite, in modo tale che esse siano direttamente erogate agli utenti con modalità tecniche che ne permettano l’utilizzo con il fornitore che gli utenti preferiscono senza che siano legate da questioni dimensionali del soggetto fornitore.
We trust that especially in this context, le PPAA seguano strettamente le norme che agevolano l’adozione di prodotti OPEN SOURCE e in subordine, che agevolano l’interoperabilità e non soluzioni proprietarie e/o che facciano transitare dati fuori dal territorio nazionale/comunitario.
We also hope that prompt action will be taken to ccorrect the regulations that hinder the easy use of UNUSED collective resources (frequency spectrum) da parte dei soggetti in grado di operare velocemente a livello territoriale, in modo da garantire l’utilizzo dello “Smart Working” anche in zone a bassa densità abitativa (zone Digital Divide).
In this regard, our technical proposals have long been made known to the Ministry of Economic Development and more recently brought to the attention of the Ministry for Technological Innovation and Digitalization and the Ministry of Regional Affairs.
